Did you know?

Did you know that at some point in the recent past Jerome (aka Jerry) Seinfeld gave $100,000 to the Kabbalah Center? I was the only person in a room full of, oh, thirty people who cared. In fact, I was probably the only person who noticed. Still, it disturbed me.

Had it been Aish, comments here would make sense, but Kabbalah center is cult . . .

Well that makes sense, the Kabbalah center is where the Hollywood folks get their spiritual fix if it's not yoga or, I dunno, homeopathy.

on mivtzoim in Westwood, I met a lady who invited me to their exclusive Purim party. I imagine it was exclusive. If it wasn't, than my invitation just lost much of its meaning.

Nemo: not at all- he also gave 25 grand to Shaarei Zedek hospital, but that doesn't bother me a bit. Shaarei Zedek hospital is helping people.

Feivel: good question. Seeing as I wasn't though, I suppose I have no answer to it.

Modeh: huh?

Mottel: exactly.

Sara: I suppose.

Yossi: yes, I imagine that it would have. Incidentally, I remember driving past the Kabbalah center in LA on the night of Purim- man, those people spent a lot of money on costumes!

they were probably kabbalistically inspired costumes.

Some people list “creating a cool Purim costume” as one of the things they do for fun. I always imagine them doing it for the whole year, improving upon their costume until Adar.

e: As everyone knows, pirates were very big into kabbalah.

AP-S: Yes, I did that a couple times.

Do frum Jews sometimes test-drive their Purim costumes on Halloween?

PC: maybe.

TRS: exactly
