I'd like everyone to take a moment to recognize one of the more beautiful computer-designed headers anyone's seen in quite some time. Thanks to the inimitable Yossi, I finally have my very own customized header. Yup. If you'd like him to design something for you, just ask.
Meanwhile, he also designed this for me:
Here's the original:
What say you?

Is that supposed to be you?
Apparently.
Ok. Then: Gorgeous
I'm happy we agree.
Dear Mr. R.S.,
The artwork has definitely raised the level of your blog, at least in terms of its presentation. I trust that the content will continue to support such a sophisticated look.
Admiringly yours, LdT.
Well, you know what they say, the cholent is only as good as the guests.
Thoroughly delightful.
I see a resemblance.
e: Correct.
Altie: Ditto.
For even more fun, the original post has been updated.
doesn't work
The Shel Rosh is too small.
The original doesn't show up on my screen.
The holy Rebbe loves us all
thin and stout short and tall
that's why his pic is on my wall
The paradigm of leadership
with many had a uniquerelationship
captain of the battle ship
fearless and determined
peerless and undeterred
surelnes and perturbed
Where is the picture from?
That's it! You look like the count from Sesame Street.
im using firefox. still not working. maybe its a secret picture that only some people can see.
I see the original picture... just like I see the emperor's new clothes
Now it's there.
Altie: Now it's working.
Yossi: Look again.
Sara: And?
oh so it was done from a photograph. cool. ya i think it's pretty good work.
of course, with everything computerized these days its not as good as a painting or even caricature would be.
Don't be so sure- I've had some pretty bad caricatures done of me...
Post them?
The computerized version looks a lot more timid that the photographed version.
The word sinister comes to mind.
Modeh: embarassing too.
e: timid meaning...
Sara: yes?
TRS: The slight smile and tame-looking beard on the computerized version of you looks a lot more timid than the broad smile in the photographed version of you.
Yes, what?
I like the header.
The picture is the scariest thing I have ever seen.
e: Ahh.
Sara: sinister?
Feivel: why scary?
The picture. It's sinister. Almost rabbinical-serial-killer-esque.
Ooh, I should be the hero of my new novel.
or the villain
It's called an "anti-hero".
It's also called a villain.
Why does everyone think the picture is scary? Am I the only one who thinks it looks like a softspoken yungerman?
http://romancewritersrevenge.com/2009/03/31/anti-heroes-vs-villains/
I don't think it's scary.
And who appointed this crazy Harry-Potter fan as an authority?
Nu, find your own source- there's plenty out there.
An anti-hero is a villain as written by a politically correct author.
Maybe I should clarify, the photograph is creepy, not the computer version.
Modeh: where there is a villain there is a hero. Where there is an anti-hero there is not neccessarily a hero.
Sara: why is the picture of me creepy?
The downward angle of your face, big smile and the way the glasses cut across create a sinister appearance.
What are you trying to say?
I'm answering your question...?
Yes but.
