We is never alone!

I know I promised to continue writing about Tachanun, but it's the 12 of Tammuz today, and I thought it'd be inappropriate to write about it (and I nixed OC 312 for obvious reasons). Instead I have tremendous news to announce: the wedding is on the the 25th of Elul, the birthday of the world! That's right folks, pencil it in, it's gonna be a wild ride. In Milwaukee. Listen, I know, it's going to be tough trying to avoid driving to Chicago for the pizza or the ballgame, but I'm sure you'll manage.

Listen, I understand if you can't make it to the wedding. So how about popping into 770 for the aufruf on Shabbos Selichos? Can you say "12 hour party?" Yup. Good times.

Oh, and one more thing. Want to see what TRS+le7 are stocking their future home with? Well now you can! (I know you're excited).

so if i dont come to the wedding, do u expect a gift and a card? and like, u want me to choose from your wish list? or maybe can i just send a nice card? ill see what my secretary can type up...

good day to get married btw.

What right do you have to ask people for $55 salt shakers?

Dude, it's the 11th of Tamuz today. You made me worried that I wasn't wearing bigdei yom tov and said tachnun for no reason . . .

Very subtle way of putting your registry up there, I like that shower curtain.

Just like a guy said...

Altie: Have your people speak to our people.

Nemo: Right? Who said anything about rights? By rights we should be kings of the world! Bwahahahahaha!!

Mottel: Dude, you're correct.

Sara: Subtlety is my middle name.

And yes, we also like the shower curtain.

Mottel: What's on the 12th?

TRS: nice way of dropping hints.

BTW, I was at a sheva brochos last night where I did not know the chosson, kalla, or any of their friends except the one who was making the sheva brochos who asked me to come for the minyan. Naturally I was the perfect candidate to speak (NOT!) and thanks to your peula nimsheches post I was able to spew inspiring nonsense for five minutes and make everyone feel good.

Modeh: The chag hageulah of the Frierdiker Rebbe

Just like a guy said...

Modeh: now you can tell everyone that reading blogs is not a waste of time!

Mazel Tov!

I wanted to see if anyone would be crazy enough to buy them... and if they did I would just exchange them for a serving dish or blender or something.

It's the 11th of Tammuz.

Mottel:Do you feel cheated when a chassidishe yom tov falls out on shabbos?

TRS: It is a waste of time. I could have rambled in yiddish about a binyan adei ad instead. I just got to spew 90% nice sounding meaningless garbage instead of 99%

-Modeh: for Tachnun yes, Farbi no . . . The geshmakste farbrengenish fun mine bochur'ishe yahrin zeinin auf shabbos .. .

Just like a guy said...

RAW: When you read previous comments before adding your own...

Modeh: re: tachanun: We definitely do feel cheated. In this case, out of nine possible non-tachanun opportunities, we only benefit from four.

Any relation to Maister in Crimea?

why do you need 2 tea kettles?

btw, about the invitations, just email a scanned copy of your invitation to out of towners/bloggers . save yourself a ton of money

Just like a guy said...

I categorically refuse to be held responsible for what my kallah put on that list :)

le7 said...

Oh. That was an accident. Thanks for pointing that out. I noticed the registry doubled a few unnecessary items. Maybe it's a new "smart registry" and it knows things like "This tea kettle will break in one year: register for two."

Yeah I can't really be held responsible for what is on this list either.

Also the invitations will be one of the smallest costs. (I think). Posiblemente my friend will do them herself (she should totally set up shop and do it full time btw).

Truth is it's not like we need this shtuff. We could live with one pot and a knife and paper goods. No biggie. It was social pressure...

Just like a guy said...

Whose we, white girl?

A chossid doesn't care what he eats, a chossid doesn't care where he sleeps and a chossid doesn't care what pattern china or type of immersion blender they have!

Just like a guy said...

But a chossid does care what his wife has!

So cute.

Just like a guy said...

Yes, le7 is.

Said the Sages, "A nice residence, a nice wife, and nice utensils expand a person's mind."

Cheerio said...

nice utensils? that explains all the closed minded jews out there... damn the paper plates!!

Just like a guy said...

Or else we buy everyone dishwashers.
