Mazel Tov! TRS+le7-It's Official!

The clergy: Do you, TRS, solemnly swear to blog forever together with le7, bound up in the manacles of marriage, committed to the principles of liberte, fraternite, egalite, 'til 6:00 AM do us part?

TRS: Quite.

The clergy: And do you. le7, solemnly swear to blog forever together with TRS, bound up in the manacles of marriage, committed to the principles of liberte, fraternite, egalite, 'til 6:00 AM do us part?

le7: Indeed.

The clergy: Is there then any objection from any blogger, man or woman? If not, then forever keep your pc.

The crowd: Silence (except for the clicking and clacking of keys [who is the audience if not our fellow bloggers?], of course).

The clergy: Then with the power invested in me by Google and Blogger I pronounce you, TRS+le7, chassan and kallah. TRS, you may now [censored].

The party's tonight, Wednesday the fifth of Sivan, the 27th of May, 9:30 and onward, at Congregation Beloved Companions (Rayim Ahuvim), the corner of Carroll and Schenectady. Miss it at your peril!

chanie said...

I'm...shocked...speechless.
What made me check this blog?
Mazal tov!

Wait..who made the shidduch? Or was it made online?
When is the wedding?

I'm..shocked...shetizku livnot bayit neeman b'yisrael a"y hatorah vhamitzvot vhachassidus....

chanie said...

And I'm sorry to say..but you aren't the first set of bloggers to get engaged. But perhaps there are a few differences in how it happened....

Just like a guy said...

Chanie: It was the blog.

chanie said...

"It was the blog"- that made the shidduch? Wow...I bet you wouldn't have thought that would happen. I assume you two took it to your parents at some point- or did you decide that no research was necessary? (Just curious...)

Altie said...

the question of the century: proper shidduch, or cyberspace?

Just like a guy said...

Chanie: That is correct, no one expected this, least of all us. And what, you don't think we can do research ourselves?

Altie: Whatever works. G-d runs the world in strange ways.

chanie said...

TRS- I didn't think so. These things are quite unexpected as it is, and adding a blog to the picture..seven times more so.
I suppose you can do the research yourselves. Thing is, I'd think that I was too subjective. But as long as it works for you. :) (Did you do a lot of it? 'Cuz research anyway you do it is ichs.)

Altie- LOL. But G-d must have had fun with this shidduch.

le7 said...

Not much research on my side truth be told. (TRS lived in my community as a child).

Just like a guy said...

Chanie: you can learn a lot from a person from her blog.

le7: wait...you live in mequon?!

le7 said...

Must I really go into depth explaining this? Come on...

Just like a guy said...

I meant to write after, "What else about you don't I know? Man, I should have done some more research..."

It was meant as a joke :)

chanie said...

TRS- Indeed you can. I learned a lot about you from your blog, as well. And when I looked at le7's, I learned quite a lot about her, too.

Then again, I didn't learn everything about you guys from your blogs...

So- did you ask her out by email, or did you switch phone numbers first? (teasing, you don't have to answer if you feel it too personal)

le7 said...

Ah hah. Got it.

Just like a guy said...

Chanie: it's a long story that involves a lot of emails, chats, and eventually phone calls.

le7: excellent.

Altie said...

ooo tell us more (this time im serious)

Just like a guy said...

Ask the kallah.

Altie said...

i dont know her. i dont even know u. oh well. u guys can keep your love story to yourself, and tell it to the grandkids in years to come. i can see when i am prying. too bad though. i'm sure its a good story

le7 said...

Why me? Because I'm on a real computer? It started in early December with a few emails and a few chats and then there was the Great Missive of Yud Tes Kislev... and my birthday and bam bam bam here we are.

Just like a guy said...

Altie: prying is no bad thing. Invite us for a shabbos meal somewhen...

le7: no, because I don't know how much I should say and how much I shouldn't. Actually, now I know. Excellent.

Altie said...

le7 thats very vague. trs- i hare prying. if someone offers, than fine.
invite you guys for shabbos...sounds like a plan, since i do have a home in ch, and watch it turn out that my mother somehow knows u guys...
but no, maybe i'll wait till i am married, to invite u over.
if prying is ok...did u guys set a date for the wedding yet?

chanie said...

TRS- I get it. Wow, that's a looong story! Thanks... :) (How long did it take?)

And if the two of you ever come to Israel, let us know and you're invited for a meal. That is, if you would eat with nerds like us.

Just like a guy said...

Chanie: who is us?

chanie said...

"Us" is my chatan and myself- and you can come for a meal after we're married, lol. :P

Just like a guy said...

You're engaged? Who knew?! Mazel Tov! We'd love to come for a meal. And if you're ever in TRS+le7 land...

chanie said...

Yeah, I am. Thanks. :) Who knew? Um...good question. I think whoever heard through the grapevine or picked it up on my blog.
Is that land in CH?

Just like a guy said...

Wherever TRS+le7 are, that's their land. Hopefully not CH for too long.

le7 said...

Maybe CH for a few years though.

le7 said...

Wedding is next Tuesday night in his sister's backyard. You're all invited!

Just like a guy said...

In his sister's imaginary backyard, I might add...

C said...

I may actually come :)

Just like a guy said...

Nice. Can't wait to see you there.

le7 said...

Woohooo want to sponsor a sheitel, kapooota and tallis?

C said...

TRS-Just give me the time and your sister's address.

le7-I would love to! Will $36 cover that?

le7 said...

Hmmm maybe.

The Cereal Killer said...

Don't forget to send invitations to each other.

Just like a guy said...

Re: C: Okie Dokie.

Re: le7: No, but how about 3600?

le7 said...

Life is so expensive. How depressing.

Just like a guy said...

Is depressing the right word?

le7 said...

What are you suggesting then?

Just like a guy said...

As in, a better word?

le7 said...

Correct. Better word please.

Just like a guy said...

Invigorating?

le7 said...

Life being expensive is invigorating?

Maybe when you don't pay the bills...

Just like a guy said...

Oh. Bad word I guess.

le7 said...

Good word incorrectly applied.

Just like a guy said...

So young and yet so wise...

le7 said...

Aww gosh. Anyways the new motto is "WE'RE GETTING MARRIED BEFORE 5770 WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!"

Just like a guy said...

I like.

Cheerio said...

i like that motto!

Just like a guy said...

IY"H by you too.
