This Religion!

So yeah, this is a wild religion we've got going here. Never gives you time to rest. Which is good, of course, because rest is stagnation, which is failure, which means it's time for a nap. Why only a nap? Because it's Davening in 3 hours. And I'm not even ready to go to bed yet. Tishrei is the wildest time of the year. It's scary, because I'm in Boringtown, USA, and I can barely keep up. Imagine Crown Heights. Or Israel. Truth is, I don't think I'd like to go to Israel for Sukkos. Just one day Yom Tov? Or Pesach. Just one Seder? Oh the humanity! They better think of something good for when Moshiach comes.

Yeah I was so siked about the one day Yom Tov thing but it wasn't that great. I can speak from experience. BUT the nice thing was the year all of ya'll (aka the Tishrei you're writing about) had three-day yomim tovim, we only had one of those with a break in between to shower!

Although the cool things about Sukkos in Yerushalayim are: 1) Going to restaurants and eating in their sukkahs. (YUM, ice cream). 2) Huge simchas beis hashuevas... (I dunno how to make that plural in proper form). The big one I went to in Geula in Yerushalayim was totally protested by all the chareidim who keep two days of yom tov. In fact a few of the Mushkies got spit on and had garbage thrown at them! (As for the one in Beit Shemesh - interesting...)

Just like a guy said...

Why would you be psyched about it? I love celebrating for multiple days!

2. That's pretty funny. And disgusting. And funny.

Dang. I can't spell. I could never be a copy-editor! Why was a psyched? Because it meant more chol hamoed of course! (This is only beneficial in Israel when you're on break).

2. Yes well we were blasting music during their second yom tov meal.

Also - now that I'll be wearing a sheitel a multiple day yom tov doesn't seem that bad.

Just like a guy said...

If you used Mozilla it wouldn't be a problem.

Chol Hamoed=what good is it?

2. Ahh. I see. Well, I understand that then.

Also: Or we could just move to Israel.

It came up as a mistake but didn't give me the correct option.

Um, in Israel Chol hamoed is awesome - are you kidding? I mean hello I went to a Simchas Beis Shueva in Chareiditown, went to one crazy one in hippietown, went to Maaras HaMachpela, almost went to kever rochel, went to the kotel, went to the kotel tunnels and ir david... are you kidding? Chol hamoed in Israel is AWESOME.

I mean it's not our fault...

MMmmmm if someone sponsors it could be fun for a little bit...

Just like a guy said...

Ahh. Well, practice makes perfect.

OK, OK, sheesh, I never knew!

Right. It's just Chabad being jerks.

Only a little bit?

___

Yeah well now you do. Are you excited now?

Granted... I mean... it's not our fault... I'm sure lots of chabanikim live in the area too.

Or a lot of bit.

Just like a guy said...

Am I spending it in Israel?

Um, probably not.

That sounds better.

Well if number 3/4 happens then yes.

Just like a guy said...

3/4?

le7 said...

Number 4 now number 3.

Just like a guy said...

So if we move to Israel then...?

le7 said...

AKA if someone sponsors because then we'll spend chol hamoed!

Just like a guy said...

That would be really cool. Right.
